A friend who is braver than us came over and gave us some additional shots of the roof. Dennis got up there and hung out near the safety of the dormer…I, well, ya know, stayed in the house.
It’s too depressing to comment on, but see all the documents here. To see the latest document, click here.
I’ve been following your trials and tribulations in this saga, and I just can’t believe it! How terrible. Have you contacted the Better Business Bureau yet? I’ve gotten them involved twice in my past, and things get fixed REAL quick.
Hi Laurie.
Not gone the BBB route yet, although I have read their website on the process of filing a complaint. I also have at the ready the appropriate associations and licensing agencies in our state.
I’ve also contacted the shingle manufacturer twice and sent photos. They are less than impressed to say the least.
Independent roofing inspection coming on Monday. I can’t believe that he’ll give us anything other than a “this really stinks” review.
We are discussing our options and how to present this to the construction company.
It’s incomprehensible that they would try to dicker with us, but the it’s unbelieveable that they would do this kind of work too. There’s my naive perspective again.
Check back soon. It’s all happenin’ around here.
Thanks!
Karen
Unbelievable pictures. It’s unbelievable that they would leave a job like that, and unbelievable that they would think you wouldn’t notice.
I bet these guys took on more jobs than they could, given this is the roofing season, and then any young guy with a pulse and a hammer gets thrown up on a roof to lay shingles. Obviously there was no job Forman on site. They must have some people in the company that know what they’re doing. Unfortunately they were all at other job sites. Let’s hope you get one of them back there to fix these problems.
Scream and yell bloody murder if you have to. Don’t let them get away with it!
