The roofers finally showed up to redo the crappy job they started in July.
This is a new crew; thankfully, the old crew was not sent back and there is much speculation around here (okay, you know, just between Dennis & me) about whether the old crew is still employed. After all, this new crew will have to be paid, the gutter guy may need to come out again, new materials had to be provided for two sides of the roof as well as the front porch, the company’s owner offered to pay for the inspection that we had done after the first go around (we told him we’d pay half), etc., etc. So the profit margin on this job has to be next to nothing at this point.
The foreman on this crew seemed, well, surprised at some of the things we told him and showed him this morning.
Keep your fingers crossed.
And maybe your toes too!
