We’ve been away for a while, as you can clearly see. It’s not that things have not been happening, it’s that too much has been happening.
On September 24, 2007, my mother passed away. She was a great lady who always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. She battled Parkinson’s disease for many years. At the end, the combination of the disease and the medications to treat the symptoms of the disease took their toll.
I was lucky enough to be able to sit at her bedside for the last six days. She waited until she was alone to pass, which is exactly like her!

I lost my mom back in 2003 so I have an idea of what you are going through. How wonderful that you were around those days.

It’s sadness mixed with relief on Mom’s passing.
I’m glad her suffering is past and she is in a much better place now.
I know the holidays will be hard — she loved those family occasions more than anything.
