A typewritten recipe on bright yellow copy paper. The term ‘ad feature’ suggests it was from the supermarket during the Easter season sometime in the 1980s

I remember my Mom studding hams with cloves when I was a little girl. I always loved the smell of those cloves. Does anyone do that anymore?

Holiday Ham

Wrap ham (ad feature) in Reynolds Aluminium Foil (ad feature). Place in a shallow baking pan in a 400 degree oven. Bake “cook-before-eating” type 16 minutes per pound if whole; 18 minutes per pound if half. Bake “fully cooked” type 1 3/4 hours if whole; 1 hour if half. Open foil, remove excess fat and apply your favorite glaze.

Pineapple Glaze

1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
3 tablespoons Dole Pineapple Juice (ad feature)
Whole cloves
Dole Pineapple Rings (ad feature)

Score ham and stud with cloves. Combine brown sugar, dry mustard, and juice. Spread over ham. Decorate with pineapple and return to oven for 15 minutes.
