I kinda bought somethin’…
Dennis and I went to the Black Swamp Spinners Guild’s Market Day yesterday. Lots of spinning, roving, fleece and gizmos to look at and touch!
And I kind of bought some stuff…
Icelandic fleece (2), sherbet colored roving (guess which one that is), camel & silk blends, mohair & silk blends, dyes, bobbins, the new Ashford sliding hook flyer.
Maverick (our lab) and Miles (rat terrier) were enthralled with the smell of the raw fleece, purchased from Little Cabin Farms.
Then Maverick decided just to treat it as a big giant dog toy…
I’m a new spinner, so I don’t know how any of this will turn out. However, I got so inspired, I came home and took this:

That’s the new Ashford slider I bought yesterday. Similar to the Woolee Winder, but manual (and way less expensive). It was nice not to get all tangled up while I was spinning.
