I hate the way stores start marketing Christmas in August these days. Not only is it impossible to get into the holiday spirit when it in 95 degrees outside, and not only do you feel compelled to purchase those sweet little tree ornaments because you know they will be gone by mid-September, and not only are you carrying gobs of resentment in your heart by being inundated by ghosts, goblins, turkeys, and Santa all at the same time (in early October), but it ruins the spirit of the season simply because you are sick of it by the time it arrives.
Honestly, Hobby Lobby had their Christmas trees on display in early September. That’s not even necessary, man, and it’s not right.
Oh, by the way, I’m knitting festive Christmas socks today.
Shut up.
