	<p>Christmas was a pretty low-key affair this year.  I really felt like it wasn&#8217;t really Christmas without my mom.  Dennis&#8217; sister passed away a year ago Christmas eve.  It was kind of a strange and sad season for us.</p>
	<p>Anyway, we have made some progress on the downstairs bathroom, I am trying not to suck at knitting, we&#8217;ve cooked in the clay oven and more.</p>

	<p>Sounds like a great Thanksgiving or Christmas salad.  And I think it might be good on pancakes or waffles or in crepes.  Yum! </p>
	<blockquote><p>Warm Cranberry Compote Salad<br />
<span id="more-69"></span><br />
1 16-ounce can whole berry cranberry sauce<br />
3 cups pineapple chunks, grained and cut in half<br />
1/4 cup brown sugar<br />
1 teaspoon cinnamon<br />
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg</p>
	<p>Combine ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Heat mixutre until cranberry sauce has melted and sauce is warm, stirring constantly. Spoon warm over entrees or desserts such as gingerbread or pound cake.</p>
	<p>Makes 9 servings.
